I have a 6 year old and a 10 month old, and I never have a problem finding sleep. That whole thing of "you have kids, say goodbye to sleep" is a load of bullshit. You miss out on some sleep in the very first couple of months of a kid, but after that, the kid sleeps more than you do! Problem is that the kid goes to sleep around 7 or 8 and sleeps for 12 hours, thereby making you have to go to sleep at a resonable hour. I myself though never go to bed before 11:30 PM no matter what, and many nights not until almost 1 AM. But I don't require too much sleep. This is why my wife sleeps in the morning, and I am the one to get up with both kids, get the one off to school, and play with the other until I go to work.

Nope, Andii, it wasn't me. In fact I've never actually been to Wales - let alone Cardiff!

As for the Poison/Buttz incident...well it was when they came to London for a few days just after the release of their first album. They didn't play but visited some potential record companies (I think) and did a signing at the now tragically defunct Shades record shop. When they turned up at Gossips someone went to tell Buttz, so that he could sign the 'celebrities' in. However, like most people at the time, the only photos of Poison that Buttz had seen were the extreeeeme soft lens/heavily airbrushed shots on their album sleeve. Consequently he took one look at them and refused to let them in ('They're not Poison - they're too f@*king ugly!'). It took quite a lot of persuading to convince him that it was actually them!!

As for my little fella Sebastian (NOT named after the geezer from Skid Row/Jesus Christ Superstar!) he's rocking already. He too likes Manson (what is it with these kids?) and loves trying to destroy my guitars. He should make a good glamster though - he's thin, fussy and has his mum's good looks. Unfortunately,he has NEVER slept for 12 hours in one go (are you joking, Carl?!) - we're lucky if he sleeps for 3. Hope he hasn't developed a speed habit I don't know about...

Nope, not joking. My daughter goes to bed around 8 PM, and won't wake up until she has to get up. Unless I am home, then she gets up early, for some reason. In other words, if she has a day off from school for some reason, she won't wake until 10 or so. On the weekends, she is up by 7. Creep. But she is 6.

My son, Zach (not named after the bad-beer-swilling redneck asswipe from Ozzy fame) though goes to bed around 7 PM and wakes around 6 AM. Seriously. He's 10 months.

Good story about Buttz with the f-ugly Poison boys. Really, the only one that ever seemed a "sex symbol" type of thing was Brett. CC is just butt ugly, and Rikki is freakish looking. Bobby? Eh, whatever, always the most boring of them all. Though now he seems the coolest.

But they were saying the kids like Manson.

My daughter likes Elvis and Brian Setzer. I am trying to get her into Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran now.

My son is OBSESSED with my guitars. If I put him down with one of them, it will keep him happy for hours. He just sits there strumming it as best he can. Plan on buying him one for Christmas.

Yeah, well that's what I was saying (re:Manson). Can't see why that would be a problem myself...

My daughter was watching a few Japanese Visual Kai bands with me last night. I have a bunch on video, and she says the band Nightmare are scary. Vocally they are kind of. Look-wise, they are kind of cool.

    Got some relevant questions here:

What ever happened to Bad Detective(Favourite Record) and Ipanema Katz(a great cover of Great Big Kiss)?

    Any plans to reissue TOD?

How much is a 12" of "Do Ya Want My Love?" by Wrathchild worth now? I had one, but it was spirited away along with the rest of my huge collection(sob).

I personally dislike the late 1980s. As far as I'm concerned, the early 1980s were far superior. In the late 1980s, there was no "glam", just bands who were concidered weak versions of Metallica by the press. Weak, becuase Metallica was so wonderful because they didn't wear make-up.

Speaking of Wrathchild again, you know that when they started Rocky looked more like Lemmy with his face hair and centre part. As for the USA band, they started with an image and then went thrash.

MId to late 80's UK was swarming with Dogs/Hanoi style RnR Trash Glam bands, such as Soho, and that stuff to me is FAR superior to anything else that was going on in the world. Early 80's UK stuff seemed to all be either Power Metal or NWOBM stuff. Early 80's were pure cheese no matter how you cut it, IMO.

As for Rocky looking like a "Lemmy", well he makes no secret about one of his main influences being Wishbone Ash in the emails I have had with him, and I do believe that they have that image. So I would believe he looked like that.
